Press Release:   Keller Williams Realty, Burlingame, Ca.

On May 10, The Keller Williams Peninsula Estates Associates will be participating in Keller Williams’ RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate. This is our annual day of service. Each year on the second Thursday of May, we celebrate RED Day as a part of our legacy worth leaving. Making a difference in the lives of others and bettering the communities that we serve lies at the heart of the Keller Williams culture. This observance defines who we are and is a natural extension of our commitment to the highest level of professional customer service. Over time, a growing number of our family members and friends continue to participate in this extraordinary event. It embodies the generous spirit and commitment associates have to “giving back" to the cities and towns they live and work in.

As in years past, our team will be serving at Fair Oaks Community School and this year it will be a very rewarding and celebratory occasion. The school, which currently counts among its student body an already underserved community, was in danger of closing at the end of the 2017 school year. The parents and teachers along with school district staff worked diligently to get the local enrollment up to prevent closure and disruption in the already fragile community.

“We are so grateful to partner with Fair Oaks community school in Redwood City. The families of our school have gone through challenging circumstances. The housing crisis, fear looming- given the state of our political climate and living on minimum-wage affects families and children in devastating ways. Upon hearing that the RCSD school board had slated their school for closure, the parents went into action! We met our enrollment goal and the school will not be closing. This makes Red Day a very special celebration of this great success. We will celebrate Moms for Mother’s Day which happens to be 5/10 in the Hispanic culture and day of the child! We are thrilled to partner with Keller Williams.”  Angie Ibarra executive director and founder of Generations United

Fair Oaks School was recognized just 3 short years ago teaching excellence by Symetra, Wells Fargo and the San Francisco 49ers

So, again this RED DAY, we are excited to be engaging with the students, families and staff at Fair Oaks Community School to give back and celebrate them, through education, games, food and fun.
